A one of
a kind book that fuses painting, a prose
text recalling a kayaking incident on Idaho’s Lochsa River with Leonardo
di Vinci’s Studies of Water Passing Obstacles and Falling into
a Pool.
The text pages are printed letterpress on a translucent material that
drapes over acrylic painted pages, all of which give a cold, wet feeling
that evokes a sense of a flowing river. This feeling is enhanced by the
accordion binding which has the painted pages sewn into the valleys and
the text pages sewn onto the peaks and permits the text to drape and flow
over the painted pages.
The book comes inclosed in a cloth covered clamshell box.
