Risk Activity A one-of-a-kind book that fuses painting with a text recalling a kayaking incident on Idaho’s Lochsa River. Wilber H. Schilling wrote a 15-stanza poem that appears in 3-stanza segments. Also running through the book is a text by Leonardo da Vinci titled, Studies of Water Passing Obstacles and Falling into a Pool. The text pages are printed letterpress on a translucent material that drapes over acrylic painted pages, all of which give a cold, wet feeling that evokes a sense of a flowing river. This feeling is enhanced by the accordion binding which has the painted pages sewn into the valleys and the text pages sewn onto the peaks and permits the text to drape and flow over the painted pages. The book comes enclosed in a cloth covered clamshell box. Typefaces: Bodoni Price: $1500.00
